My name is Sarvesh Shrivastava, an 18-year-old Blogger and an about to be Engineer. I am based in India and have been earning a decent figure online since a year now.
Unlike other entrepreneurs, I am not making a living out of my online ventures at the moment. Although I certainly can, with a $10k+ figure a month but I have decided to focus on my studies as I have no plans of dropping out of the college 😉
I am based in a small town in India where I suppose hardly anyone knows it is possible to make money online. Not even my parents until I showed them my first $124 that I made through an Adsense niche site.
Thanks to my parents, I got a computer and an Internet connection very early in my life (when I was in the 4th standard).
Though, it was 2-3 years later when I discovered it was possible to make money online.
Blogging seemed to be the way everyone was making money at that time. After reading numerous guides, I finally created my first ever Blogspot blog.
Didn’t go with a custom domain as convincing my parents to invest money on a domain seemed impossible for an 11-year-old me.
What followed was writing 200-300 words articles on a daily basis on the site. No, I wasn’t aware of keyword research, building backlinks and all. All I though what was if I keep writing content, the traffic will come automatically.
And that actually happened to a small extent. About 6 months later, the site did start making some money through Adsense. However, it took me 3-4 months to cross the $100 threshold.
With my first $124, I presented small gifts to my mom, dad and sister and actually proved that I wasn’t wasting time online. 🙂
However, shortly after that, I had to take a break of two years due to my studies and it was only in the last year that I got the chance to restart my online ventures.
It has been a roller coaster ride since then. I have managed to launch around 7-8 sites, of which 2 became really successful, a couple is on their way and a few didn’t turn out the way I wanted.
At the moment, I am easily collecting over $10k a month with my niche sites. I have attached the screenshot of my Adsense earnings of last 30 days. Rest income is from Amazon affiliate program.
